I ve removed the panel to expose the latch. The latch has power because when i removed it and found that it grounds the circuit. The glass to gasket lip measurement should be about 5mm. You may need to open up the slots to get the movement you need or slot the latch plates.

Hi steve your lock plate on the pillar should adjust in and out i know i have adjusted my 62 but didn t take a close look at what allows for movement. I have a 2008 mini clubman and the rear right door does not latch. Press the door inward against the latch. Pull down the plastic sleeve and latch then pull out the cable and unhook it from the bottom of the actuator.

Close the door to the first latch as in step 2. The exterior door handle cable runs through a clear plastic sleeve attached to a latch. The door lock cable hooks into the green clip.
